Acubriefs newsletter, website debuts

Early in December, the first issue of Acubriefs Newsletter was published on the Internet. Acubriefs Newsletter is sponsored by MARF and made possible through the financial support of Seirin-America and Oriental Medical Supplies (OMS).

Also debuting is www.acubriefs.com, sponsored by MARF and made possible by generous support of AAMA. This website provides access to more than 11,000 references pertaining to acupuncture. Most of these acupuncture references are from the English literature. Many of the articles have abstracts contributed by Russell Erickson, MD and others.

For both the newsletter and database to meet their potential of serving the acupuncture community, ongoing support is sought. Many members have already contributed to MARF through their annual donation at the time of AAMA membership renewal. Leaders also request members to contribute directly to the database and newsletter in two ways: First, if you have pertinent references that are not included within the database, let them know and if possible, send them in a digital format. Second, please get the word out with regard to www.acubriefs.com.

If you have reviews you would like to include in the newsletter as per the format of the first edition (visit www.acubriefs.com), send them to Acubriefs Newsletter Editor James Rotchford, MD, MARF president, for possible publication. There will be honorariums provided for reviews accepted for publication.
